These were all great! Love proof of life—too clever! And toucans, and Chuck Norris. (How many bests do i get?) And did THE John Kennedy really say that? BTW, looking forward to pix of healed legs.

No idea about the John Kennedy quote. Kinda funny regardless. Thanks for enjoying Hubby’s and my humor. 🙂

Agreed! Soooo hard to choose! The proof of life I’m going to have to use myself one of these data 😁 I cackled out loud at the toucans. Getting mystery clues from the game of life and following up on them: priceless. Your leg looking better (how is it feeling, though?) : even better!
I once heard that Chuck Norris’s tears can cure cancer. Sadly, none are available 🤣

Lol and when I saw the CN meme, I snagged it to save for a future post—just for you!
The leg feels basically fine. I keep a brace on so I don’t accidentally bend it. Not a big deal.
Thank you for enjoying Hubby’s and my humor. 🙂

I’m honored! Glad about your leg: do you have an ETA on the leg brace coming off?
Your and your hubby’s humor is pure delight! I’m going to pull the “proof of life” one on my hubby one of these days, he’s going to love it!

Awesome. I hope you do send the P of L thing. 🙂
No ETA on the leg brace. Still need to see the dr. Only just got the MRI this past week. Stuff takes 4-eva!

at first the lavender coffee looked like it had ants in it. It took me awhile to see that it was just lavender. I was worried for a moment.
and everyone needs an emotional support stuffy.

Ants would certainly be unique, and would make for an odder, even more hippie-vibe place than this was.
Since I don’t have a lap kitty, I’ll take the stuffy.

I’m glad I wasn’t alone in that. That was a double-take, for sure! And while I love dunking cookies in my beverage, not quite sure that I like chewy coffee 🤪 What did that coffee taste like?
LikeLiked by 2 people
Coffee with bits of plant in it. It was weird to be chewing them. But the coffee was still good.

We had that vacation planned well in advance of my injury, so we just made the most of it. Made for more of an adventure. 🙂

I was hoping to see a strawberry in that full moon last night. It was right, and cost less that the 50,000 yen single strawberry I just heard about … Can you imagine a strawberry being worth that?

I liked the last bit of wisdom. The thing is how do you convince someone they suck? In my experience there’s seems to be a bit of reluctance when you hint to someone that they might suck!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Haha. Yep, I see how that could prove challenging. 😛

That is not a JFK quote I ever learned. Did people even use the word ‘suck’ that way in the ‘50’s-60’s? Lol! I love your toucan gif as a response. So clever! I’m glad you got to see the Grand Canyon, despite your injury. Keep on healing!

Thanks, Bijoux. Yeah, the Kennedy quote is highly suspect, but nonetheless funny. Thanks for appreciating the toucan. 🙂 Grand Canyon on a knee scooter was quite the adventure. Healing as fast as I can, which, at my age, isn’t very fast.

A knee scooter, huh? Could you have used a cane, or just one crutch? Long John Silver rocked the one crutch look in Treasure Island.

I have contemplated just chopping off the bottom half of my leg. That would make life easier. All I’d have to worry about is termites. 😉
That was a very tref-like response, I think. 😛

I liked the toucan best, because that’s something I would totally do. In fact, now I’m hoping Tara texts me that exact question while grocery shopping sometime so I can respond.
Hope nobody in the Midwest mistakes that California sand for pepper. Better keep it away from the dining room table just in case (or, being the Midwest, the TV trays).
Glad you got your cheese!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Give Tara a shopping list with canned something on it, but an indiscriminate amount. Maybe she’ll bite. 🙂
That sand did look strangely peppery, huh? Eww, TV trays. I’m pleased to report my sister’s family ate at the table.
Yep, got the cheese and immediately took a picture for you. I have another “taking a picture of this for Mark” one coming up. You’ll know it when you see it. 🙂

Ooh, that’s just brilliant enough to work. Can’t wait to tell her to pick up “tomato sauce”!
Hey, what’s wrong with TV trays? That’s how we eat most of our dinners! Either that or balanced on our laps like the heathens we are.
Looking forward to the upcoming flamingo pic!

Oooh, I hope it works!
You’re allowed to use TV trays (or your lap), but the idea of all my sister’s kids eating dinner in front of the TV instead of having a family dinner is sad.
Well now I don’t need to bother with the pic!
LikeLiked by 1 person
I can understand that. I always made it a point to have family dinners around the table when my kids were growing up.
Nowadays, it’s a freakin’ free-for-all!

Pre-kids, we watched movies at dinnertime. We carpooled and worked together. I guess we got the “how was your day”s out of the way. Now, it’s nearly impossible to hear the question over the dinnertime clamor.

First, I love this: “ma’bizness.”
Second, I start physical therapy for my knee on Tuesday. Sensei is letting me test at the end of the month (as well as I’m capable) for red belt, what I was due to test for months ago, had I not injured myself two days before testing. (That still irks me. Couldn’t I have waiting until just AFTER testing to hurt myself.) Ah well. Board breaks from kicks have been ruled out for this test.
3. Been meaning to tell you how grateful I am for my fabulous tumbler at my desk. Dust getting in my water was a constant problem. Somehow, putting a postcard over the cup wasn’t getting the job done. But this lidded cup=perfection and therefore less frustration. So, doubly thank you for the gift, CM!

I was thinking of you this morning on my run – popped into your BlogSpace to this gem of a post! So many smiles and chuckles illicited. You are too cute, and is your Hubby. I love the couple pic of you both (plus knee scooter). And that proof of life pic? Hilarious!
Can you translate your MRI results for me? What does this mean for your recuperation going forward?
The Game of Life pic perked my interest – so curious that it has a picture of a brown family on it. I must go dig mine out to see if there are any people portrayed!

Hello, Ju-Lyn! So nice to be thought of and for you to stop by!
Nothing to worry about with those MRI results at this point. I have healed from the injuries but healed so stiff that I need lots of physical therapy. I can neither fully straighten my leg nor bend it more than 80 degrees.
Yes, there are lots of different families portrayed on our Life game board. 🙂

For some reason I can’t reply directly to your last comment to my comment. I think WP is holding it against me that I stopped blogging. They are fickle like that.
I am VERY glad you get to test. When we would have something like that come up and someone was determined to keep working and trying, we would alter the test in ‘some’ way so they never felt like they were doing less. My instructor once asked me if I would value my belt if I didn’t do what those before me had to do. It was a rhetorical question because I was already telling him that. You can always break boards later. And just to piggy back on what you said, it does seem like it would have been better timing if you had waited until after the test to hurt yourself. But, I have a feeling you and I are both not in good control of timing. 😂 I am so glad you are enjoying the tumbler! I had such a kick making that. I will never make another PIF tumbler again!!!
